Hotel Zlata Hvezda is in the best location with absolutely fantastic window view in the best and liveliest street you can ever find amongst any other Hotels in Prague with nice staff as well. For any other future stay, I will book with no doubt this hotel and will definitely recommend all my friend to enjoy their time during their stay in Prague at this nice hotel.
Everything is quite satisfying.
The only recommendation for the Hotel Management to make their guests as happy as possible is:
1. Serving WARM breakfast with more variety
2. Prepare rooms with 2 bottles of water daily
A very pleasant stay
The hotel was situated at the foot of the castle and was clean , comfortable and well maintained. The 2 drawbacks to the accommodationas far as my stay was concerned was the room we stayed in. The room in question was number 27 and was directly alongside the main steps leading to the castle which meant we did experience a lot of noise from passing pedestrians late into the night. The room was also situated immediately next to the lift shaft which was also generated quite a noise when being used.I would stay at this hotel again if I could be guarnteed a room at the front on the 3rd floor which would have been far away from the elevator and would have afforded spectacular views of Mala Strana.
Staff were pleasant and helpful and once again we used the services of Athos travel and would have no hesitation in reccommending them to any other travellers who are thinking of booking a holiday in Prague.
Recepční /bohužel nevím její jméno/ ji našla a dala si tu práci, že nas složitě přes telefon vyhledala, kabelku nám uschovala a poctvě v pořádku vrátila.
To understand my comments you need to understand our group. We were 7 people. A married couple from Munich who drove Prauge. My significant other and my 21 year old daughter and an mid-60s aunt and friend.
The hotel was very accomodating in that we wanted to have 1 room with a double bed, one room with 2 twin beds and one room/suite to accomodate 3. Golden Star was able to put our entire group on a single floor which was great. Since our German friends drove, their car was parked in a secured lot. This was reasuring and given our location, the car was never needed.
We were at the foot of the Castle, and while at the end of the day the last few uphill blocks were trying, they were not overwhelming.
The location was great. We could walk to Charles Bridge and old town but also saw things on our side of the river we would not have been exposed to if we had not been staying at Golden Star, such as the Wallenstien Gardens, which are well worth the time.
The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was included, and adequate but nothing to write home about. Maybe it was just that we were at the end of our trip and instead of a European Breakfast I was longing for pancakes with maple syrup, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
