Hotel U Kocku - guest reviews and rating

In March 2006 we have opened for you a new four star hotel U Kocku situated right on the King's road in the Karlova street. The hotel is located in the Palace U Kocku where you can also find a restaurant, Black theatre and a traditional Czech cabaret.
The hotel offers 33 spacious and luxuriously furnished rooms ranged from single to family apartments. All rooms are equipped with SAT TV with hundred channels and internet access. Accommodation includes buffet breakfast and in a peaceful hotel restaurant you can enjoy meals á la carte during all the day.

    Would definitely go back and would recommend to friends/family. Went with my sister and sister-in-law and we all thought Athos travel who we made our reservation through were also excellent and are really impressed with the overall service. It also made my first trip to Prague go smoothly and made it all the more enjoyable.

    Positives

    • A superb location within walking distance to most main sightseeing attractions.
    • Clean towels daily, friendly helpful staff.
    • Rooms were really spacious and comfortable.
    • Security good at night.

    Negatives

    • Only small downside was that breakfast was supposed to be available until 10:30 but there was often a shortage of food and lack of cups etc before 10:00am.

    laundry was a rip off and so was the 'internet access', one computer which you paid for 'by the hour', meaning once clock starts ticking you could not stop it, which would have been nice to know before we used only 10 min of the time and then decided to use more later... staff slightly condescending.
