The Pachtuv Palace is arguably the most beautiful baroque residence in Prague. Located in a magnificent and privileged riverfront position in the heart of the Old Town, this residence with its fully furnished apartments have been restored to their original splendour and retain all of their priceless architectural details. The palace and house of Earl Hubert Karel Pachta from Rajov number 208 in Old Prague Town belongs to a group of cultural and architectural monuments. It was built in the place where four medieval houses used to stand. The complicated shape of the building borders on Anenske Namesti, Stribrna, Naprstkova, Karoliny Svetle and Na zabradli. It was designed by the architect Jan Josef Wirch (1782 – 1787).
