Our stay at the Hotel Constans was wonderful. The location was perfect; peaceful, yet close to all the sites. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast plentiful and delicious. Our room was huge with a very modern bath and lots of light.
très satisfait mise à part le bruit de la rue le matin tôt (poubelles et valise)
My Husband and I just got back from Prague and stayed at the Hotel Constans. We would stay there again. We had such a great room, very spacious and the breakfast was delicious! This is the perfect location to walk to all the sites. It was only 5 minutes to the St. Charles Bridge and 10 minutes walk to Old Town. The Castle Quarter is just up the hill.
When we arrived at Hotel Constans we were informed by reception they didn't have a room for us as the previous people in the room had broken the bed!! They couldn't get another bed as it was Saturday but should be OK for next day. If they couldn't get a bed on Saturday how were they going to find one on Sunday!! They obviously had over booked. We were very angry and disappointed, this was a special weekend as it was my 50th birthday and it had been booked since April. They had arranged for us to stay at The Hotel Sax over the road. The reason we chose Hotel Constans was because it was an old and traditional building, had large rooms and we had a room with a balcony. The Hotel Sax was very nice, the staff were wonderful but as you know the decor is "very Modern" which wasn't what we wanted and we didn’t have a balcony. We asked to see the manager of Hotel Constans but he was never there, we think he was avoiding us. He agreed to give us a discount of 60 euros but no apology. I would therefore not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This was a rare weekend getaway for my husband and I. Hotel Constans did not disappoint. The location is very quiet and off the beaten path but very close to Charles Bridge and the castle. Each evening we felt we were leaving the fray to come back to our sanctuary. Breakfast was beautifully displayed and plentiful. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and bathrom were quite large and furnished with everything we needed. Window views were beautiful. One drawback was the heat because of the 5th floor location. Fortunately we could open the windows and get a wonderful evening breeze. During the day we pulled the curtains to keep the bright sun from beating down and this made the room much cooler that evening. I think they had an air conditioning unit but we did not use it. Prague is more expensive than we anticipated but a wonderfully romantic city in which to enjoy a stroll, some good international food and music from the entertaining groups on the Charles Bridge to the many concerts offered at several city venues.
A very enjoyable stay.Would recommend to others and revisit in the future
Very nice, staff is very kind.
