We got very lucky in finding Karlova Apartments when I discovered just days before departure that our travel agency had booked up an apartment out in Zhivkov. The Athos agents and Petra, Karlova's manager, were all very, very helpful in making this booking work for us.
We had one small communications issue with the cafe breakfast. We chose to cancel the pre-ordered cafe breakfast for mornings 2 & 3 and left Petra a message, which she did not receive. The cafe Ebel charged her the whole amount for these breakfasts, since they said they had to order breads, etc, ahead of time. They did not have to order juice and coffee, and so should not have charged us the full amount, I believe.
Still, I would definitely recommend Karlova to anyone traveling to Prague and would certainly stay there again!

Thanks for everything. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in Prague, probably our overall favorite city of the 5 that we visited. Location was incredible, making it easy to see and do pretty much everything that Prague has to offer...at least what we were looking to do anyways. Place is very safe, didn't feel nervous about leaving stuff in our place at all.

Really appreciate everything, you guys were very accomodating to our needs both prior to our trip as well as when we were there.

We loved the apartment!! Stayed in the fourth floor room. With the new upgraded windows totally quiet when closed. Very clean and great location walked to everything.

These Apartments were outstanding, The Cleanliness, The Location, The Staff were all fantastic!!! I would without doubt recommend these Apartments to anybody who wishes to have a pleasureable stay in Prague , You are in the centre of everything Good bars, Clubs, Restaurants etc.... 2 minutes stroll to Charles bridge, Old town sq. , Wencelas Sq. etc ....etc ...etc....Book and Enjoy!!!!!

The Owner was very kind returning with some more towels. The ones that had been let were the size of tea towels and although they didn't get any biggar, there at least were some more of then. The noise form the street below was bad during the night which we didn't really expect in October. We heard every party from midnight to 6am returning home then just after that the street cleaners appeared and made more noise. Great location, shame about the noise.

Really impressed by such a fantastic service offered by the company. The apartment was spotless, in a great location and value for money.

We loved the Karlova Apartments - we had the penthouse suite and were surprised at how large it was! Very comfortable, great location, walked everywhere from there. Never needed a cab or a tram. We were travelling with an 18month old baby and it was very convenient and easy. (getting to the top of the apartment with the stroller and bags was tricky because there wasn't a lift, but good excerise at the very least!)

I've been staying with my wife and the baby for 5 days in Karlova 32, apartment no. 1: it is GREAT! It is exactly in the middle of the town and you can easily explore all the city by feet.
I have chosen apartment no. 1 because it is on the first floor, and since there is no elevator (lift) and we have a baby I did not want to bring the pushchair up and down for several floors.
But before booking I had been warned by Athos Travel's staff that the apartment was very noisy; and they provided us with several "Aearo's Classic roll-down earplugs" to help sleeping...
They were right, since for some reason during night (about from 3am to 6am) below the windows there is a number of people going home from the disco who screams and sings (and not all of them are Italian...).
Anyway the apartment is fully equipped: we used to cook at home for the baby and we were also able to use the dishwasher (many people do not have it even at their home!).
We loved this trip, mainly for the apartment in Karlova 32. I would definitively suggest it for a Honey Moon (the entrance is shared with a gallery of pictures and it is very romantic); and if you plan to go to the disco until morning you will not notice the only disadvantage of this lovely place.
We also used the transfer from and to the airport provided by Athos Travel, and the driver has been very kind and professional. During the return transfer the baby vomited and he remained calm and cleaned everything carefully (for free). The next time I will meet this man I will offer him a Pilsner Urquell pint of beer!
Last but not least, I wish to recommend the staff of Athos Travel to every traveller: we met Petra who has been very kind and professional and solved every little technical difficulties in minutes.

Perfect location, especially when you have so little time like we did - only 3 days (which are definitely not enough to see the most of Prague)!
The apartment was very cleen and very well equipped, we found everything we needed. Even the smell was good (for three days we tried to figure out where it came from! ;-) ).
The staff was extremely nice, especially Milan the driver who picked us up from the airport, he was hilarious! (Transfer strongly recommended!) He gave us few tips about the restaurants and places to visit, was really nice!
The only two problems were: a lot of noise coming from the street at night, which could have been prevented by double glazed windows. Also,due to the absence of venetian blinds, too much light unfortunately came to the room in the morning.
However, we were so exhausted when we got to bed, we didn't bother much!

Prague is a great place, and the apartment is really good - close to the tourist place, clean, well equipped.

Adding Internet access to the Apartment will make it perfect.

We were recommended by your agency to request a transfer from the train station which we did. We were advised to meet our driver on the platform and not to leave. Even though our train was 20 minutes late, our driver was not on the platform. We waited 10 more minutes before leaving the platform to call the emergency number provided by your agency. However, we could not use the pay phone because we did not have local currency and none of the money exchange services in the train station were open (our train arrived at 10 p.m.). We finally spotted our driver in the meeting area 50 minutes after our train's scheduled arrival. The driver provided no explanation about why he was late.

For our departure, we again requested a transfer to the airport at 6 a.m.; this driver arrived on time.

Our apartment was clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The location was great. Unfortunately, it was very noisy all three nights. Drunken people were singing and screaming on the street below until 3 or 4 a.m. each night and then road construction started at 5 a.m. We would have enjoyed Prague more if we had slept better. We would strongly recommend installing sound-proof windows in the apartment.

We would not recommend this apartment until noise issues are resolved.

We stayed at the Karlova Apartments from 29 May - 7 June 2007. On our first visit to Prague in June 2005, we stayed in a hotel down in New Town recommended by our travel agent. It was a lot further from the center than we would have liked, so on this trip, I searched for apartments in Old Town. Boy, we weren't disappointed either! The apartment building is literally right between the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. The location is marvelous! Our apartment was on the third floor (out of five) and one of my favourite things to do was lean out the window and watch all the people walking up and down Karlova Street. If you're a light sleeper, you'll need to keep your windows closed at night. The amount of foot traffic is immense, and party goers can still be heard carrying on until 2-3 am. We discovered that by leaving the bedroom window closed and one of the living room windows open, we slept just fine. The only other slight drawback were the stairs. (The apartments would not be suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, as there is no lift) It's a fairly steep climb with lots of luggage, but you only have to do it once, so no big deal. Also, there's a pub right next door that had the nicest staff we met on our stay, not to mention terrific food and beer. HIGHLY recommended!

I would definitely recommend the Karlova Apartments to anyone wanting a wonderful, central location for their stay in Prague. We will most certainly book again.

CooL place to stay in Prague, Lovely room with great props and all quality equipment prepared. Lovely owner and good location just a few minutes walks from all tourist attractions. But the entrance to the apartment is quite difficult to find as its located on the painting shop so its should be make it more obvious.

Great location (between Charles Bridge and Main Square). Nice facility

Excellend service, excellent apartment, excellent city.

If you are thinking of visiting Prague I can't commend the service myself and my girlfriend recieved high enough. First class.

The taxi driver was extremely nice !

Athos set us up perfectly. The apartment was great overall, although a little bright in the bedroom. Location is right on the main path from the Charles Bridge to Old Town Square. I highly recommend the apartment and transfer service.

Last weekend me and my boyfriend spent a wonderful time in one of the Karlova apartments. I can recommend to all couples even with a child because the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and has a great location only a few steps from the famous Charles Bridge so you do not have to walk distance. The atmosphere was charming. Apartments are clean and newly furnished. Really excellent - cosy and romantic ;-)

We were very happy with the apartment, was lovely. The location is perfect.
