Hotel U Tri bubnu - guest reviews and rating

Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. The room was not quite as expected -- we had booked a superior, double room and expected seperate beds and a larger room. The beds were narrow and joined and collapsed toward the center, making it rather difficult to sleep. The room had only 1 window and was quite stuffy and rather dark. The stairs were absolute killers -- we truly would have booked elsewhere had we known. We were at the top level (except for the attic rooms) & hauling our luggage was grueling. Evacuation in the event of a fire definitely concerned me. Breakfast was great, the internet was great and the staff were very cordial and friendly (with the exception of one sullen young woman who was incredibly rude.) Noisy neighbors outside and rolling garbage cans in the mornings were a bit frustrating -- we didn't sleep too well during our stay. The location is absolutely unbeatable.

The locationof this hotel was just perfect walk out the door and you are in the middle of the old city, we were so pleasantly suprised with the service, booking on the internet can be a bit of a risk I thought but not at all. Our laundry was dont cheaper and with less hassle than a laundermat and the email computor was free . We will pass on our recomendations to anyone going to this fasinating city.

We had a wonderful visit in Prague. The people at the desk were very helpful, especially the young blonde woman. (Sorry but we do not know her name) She assisted us with getting concert tickets, cabs and much information. Always done in a pleasant way. We had trouble with our internet which she fixed right away also.

The hotel Three drums was very comfortable and very close to the heart of the city. The price was very convenient if you consider the above facts.
The only remark is that there is no elevator and we were on the tird floor.

Really nice, clean and quite place with excelent location with less than 2 minutes walk to Old Town Square... We stayed at room number 13, and are very satisfied with room and overall service. Please just keep in mind that you should climb upstairs because building is really historically old and have no elevator inside.... Wish all best to everyone who will decide to stay at U Tri Bubnu - we loved it :)

The hotel was a wonderful surprise when we arrived! The location is excellant, the room and the furniture was lovely, we realy liked it very much and we also loved the kind reseptionists and their willing to serve us and give us many information.
There are only two problems. 1) If there was airconditioning, we could be able to keep the windows closed,so there woud not be so much noise from the traffic of the rode downstares. 2) The stair was very narrow and the steps were very small. If we were older or if we had young children with us, it woud not be so easy to get up and down!

Our answer: Thanks to your feedback regarding breakfast owner of the place decided to improve the standard of breakfast from the end of April. So we can hope that all clients will start a new day in Prague with happy feelings :-).

i would use this hotel again but it would need better lighting in its attic rooms and restaurant. The stairs to the top a bit of problem specially with luggage . No one there to help with it or even a staff lift .

fantastic hotel -just back from a two night stay - had an attic room - very hot but beautiful. hotel very well situated, jsut around the corner from the old town square,staff helpfull, rooms clean and beds comfy!

A group of six of us have just returned from a 4 night stay at the tri bubnu in Prague. I have only praise for the hotel, it is clean, spacious, the beds are very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. But the best plus points are the location and price. The hotel is situated very close the Old town square where there are lots of local bars in the vicinity.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great location. Stayed in room 15 ( in the attic!) Absolutely huge and very clean. Massive wooden beams. But beware of the steps to get there!

My wife, two teenaged daughters and I stayed this past July for 4 nights at the Three Drums. We had penthouse apartament 5, which is spacious and lovely with a wonderful view. The place is clean with very good service. The hotel is in the best possible location, just minutes by foot to every interesting historic and architectural site in Stare mesto and Mala Strana. This hotel is a great place to stay.

Just returned from a weekend in Prague staying at U Tri bubnu. The hotel is in a wonderful 15th century building bang in the middle of the city right by Old Town Square. We stayed in a fantastic room with a traditional wooden beam ceiling (#3), spacious and light, comfortable beds and clean en suite bathroom. Breakfast was good and the staff really helpful and friendly. If we're back in Prague, we'll definately return.

Excellent location - however, only gave it a 80% (not 100%!) because of this - staff we did not find friendly (maybe a few off days) and it was freezing in February - not enough blankets or heating for the outside temperatures. We did love the room though and it was spotlessly clean with a good bathroom (the warmest place!)

We stayed for 4 nights in a double room. We had the best time there. The location is just wonderful (close to Old Town Square), few minutes from downtown, many good restaurants close by. If you like clubing, there are some clubs around. The hotel food was very nice, room was clean and comfortable. Their girls in the reception were very helpful, gave us many good tips. We are coming back next year and we will stay for more than 4 nights.

This is a note to say that my mother and I had
a wonderful time in Prague because of the hotel's employees and hotel taxi driver. They were all very helpful, very kind and very professional. They always did everything with
a smile. We were lucky to find a hotel with such wonderful people. We will never forget this place!

Very enjoyable stay for our honeymoon. Absolutly the best location - walking distance from all the interesting sights. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Location is wonderful, staff are exceptionally helpful. BUT, 8 of us went over easter, I was in room 12 which has to be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. No chair, dressing table or mirror in the room. Bathroom was tiny with just a mini bath and a tap linked shower with no shower curtain (common to all rooms). Another couple were in a room with no windows. Walls & ceilings very thin, we could hear "everything". We knew there was no lift but had no idea of the number of stairs we had to climb to get to our room. I'm only 63 and it was a struggle! Anyone with any slight difficulty would find it very difficult. This should be pointed out on the web site.

Rooms were cleaned everyday but towels were not changed over the 4 days that we were there.

Sorry to be negative because we actually had a great time despite all of the above but given the price we expected better.

Close to Old Town Square and very central. Rooms modern, very clean and comfortable. Traiditional hotel. Not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs as their is no lift and no-one to carry bags.
Would recommend highly and would certainly stay there again.

This little hotel is absolutely fabulous value for money and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was huge and very, very clean and warm. Even though the hotel is so close to the Old Town Square, we could not hear any noise from outside. The breakfast is continental as you would expect with unlimited bread, cheese, hams, juice and coffee.
The only criticism is that the soundproofing from the attic room above left a lot to be desired. Book an attic room if you can.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Perfect location - just a few steps from Old Town Square. Staff was friendly and helpful to us (especially considering we speak only English). Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms.

Lovely large room (no 18) with very comfortable double bed and very nicely furnished. Windows opening out into square behind hotel so quiet considering how close it is to the old town square. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 was because there is an attic room above room 18 and sound proofing either isn't what it should be or the guests in the room spoke VERY loudly! Perhaps best to book the attic room if it is available to guarantee no one above you. Great location!!!
