Excellently situated on the Little-Quarter side of Charles Bridge. Easy access to the Castle area & it's a pleasure to have to walk across the Charles Bridge each evening on your way towards the old town for an evening's entertainment of for a few drinks in a pub etc.
Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff were very efficient. The Hotel doesn't have a lot of rooms, hence you get the nice feel of getting personal attention. Whenever we went to breakfast in the morning, our room was cleaned and bed-clothes changed etc before we got back to our room - amazing ! Breakfast was Buffet-style, but had an excellent choice & always well stocked.
The only comment I would have, is that when we arrived on our first evening we obviously had no idea where to go for somethign to eat. The taxi driver had recommended a few places & when I asked the receptionist about them, she said that she would organise & book some place much better. We specified that we didn't want anywhere expensive, just something quick, with good food, before we retire for the evening. She made a reservation in the 'Kampa Park' Restaurant for us, which, we soon found out, turned out to be one of the most expensive restaurants in Prague - even the guide book says " You'll be lucky to get a reservation in this restaurant " !! As a result, we ended up paying well over our budget for a meal we really didn't need. I'm not sure if the Hotel is on-commission when making reservations like this, but I did hear the girl mention the hotel's name when booking the restaurant on the phone. So that's the only down-side we had to the hotel - find your own restaurants !
Positives
- Location, Cleanliness, quiet, free-internet access in the room,
- partial view of Charles bridge ( lovely to wake up to ),
Negatives
- Don't ask reception to recommend a Restaurant !
